Spring Break Assignment 2012

Due Date: April 17, 2012

Target: To create a list of terms, and concepts necessary for mastery of the US History Regents Exam.

Point Value - 2.0 Grade Points

Hello, RUSHers:

Here is your Spring Break Assignment
1. Obtain a set of Spiral-Bound Index Cards, like the ones shown here.

2. CLICK on the List of Important terms and concepts for the Regents Exam.  Print out the List.

3.  Complete the terms and concepts on the left side of the page; from the "Articles of Confederation" to "Marbury vs. Madison." If you have the small, blue Regents review book that you were asked to purchase at the beginning of the school year, the numbers in parentheses indicate where you can find that information.  If you haven't purchased the book yet, I've seen some used copies .

4. For EACH term,  you will create an index card.  On the index card you will...
  • Identify its meaning
  • Time and Place it took place
  • Why it's important
  • Create a non-verbal image (drawing) to help you remember it
Please note that this assignment is worth 2.0 grade points.   There will also be a quiz on the terms, and concepts in this assignment on the Friday when we return from break.   Students who choose not to complete the assignment, will receive a grade of ZERO.

While this may seem like a large assignment, if you break it down, and do a few each day, or work with a partner, it will not take very long.

GOOD LUCK!
