some issues that occured durig the 1940s is womens rights which changed becouse they formed womans groups and earned there right to vote and do other things that they werent allowed to do before.another thing that changed was the advancing in flight.they were able to fly across to paris in 33 hours and to chicago in 3 hours rather than by train.the final thing that changed in the 1940s is the law that banned alchol in america so there would be less pressure for teens and stop voilence.the bad thing about that change was it created more gang violence then before and that wasent wat they intended for.omarabbas

In the 1920's they invented jazz for music entertainment. A lot of woman had jobs but most of them worked on the telefone for the whole day reciving all those calls.
That the woman didnt have that much freedom of going out and having fun. One area of change that is so diffrent than now is that now woman have the same ecaxt rights like men do and now they have more freedom. The peoples lives really changed when they first made cars over thre people never saw that before and now mostly everybody has it.

The 1920s was a decade of exciting social changes and profound cultural conflicts. For others, the United States seemed to be changing in undesirable ways. The 1920s is commonly thought of as a hedonistic interlude between the Great War and the Great Depression, a decade of dissipation, of jazz bands, raccoon coats, bathtub gin, flappers, flagpole sitters, bootleggers, and marathon dancers. So much happened in the 1920's, this is only a fraction of it all.
Because of no invention of the TV, the radio was their TV. And, it really did do pretty much everything the TV does for us. If you tuned in at the right time, you could catch comedy shows, news, live events, jazz, variety shows, drama, opera, the radio had it. The radio became popular, and people tuned in everyday. The T.V. was not invented yet, so the radio was the next best thing. When they listened, people liked to listen to jazz, especially the king of jazz, Louis Armstrong.
People loved to dance, especially the Charleston, Fox-trot, and the shimmy. Dance marathons were something everyone went to every weekend. The longest dance record ever recorded was a record of 3 weeks of dancing.
The ladies and the men had to wear special clothing in the 1920s to dance. The short hair was universally popular throughout the decade. Those who chose to retain their long hair wore it pulled back into deep waves over the ears. It was then coiled into a chignon or knot at the nape of the neck. Makeup was obvious, with red lips, powdered skin, and dark eyes. To approximate the style of the period, look for a low-wasted or straight dress such as a "tank" style or "slip" dress. Add a long rope necklace--preferably pearls. Modern character dance shoes with a small heel are appropriate for this period. And the men had to wear in the evening wear consisted of the tuxedo in black or midnight blue. Tuxedos had either rolled collars faced in silk or notched collars.
Investment during the 1920's was based on the unstable basis of margin buying. Investors bought borrowed money from their brokers, who went to banks for that money. When stocks failed and investors needed to default, the money was permanently lost. The crash of 1929 ended the seemingly infinite prosperity of the 1920s. Millionaires had become paupers overnight. Those who believe in the strength of the economic bubble and invested everything they had lost everything they had. Of course, the economy weakened and the unemployment skyrocketed. The Great Depression had begun.
And that’s how the united states has changed since the 1920s.
