check and Balances
There are three branches of government they are the legislative, Judaical and the executive. They have this three branches of government because that not one branch of government can have to much power. The legislative branch makes the laws the Judaical branch make sure it is conditional or not. The executives branch en fores the laws under the Constitution. The power is limited to all of the branches. They all have to exact same of the power as each other so not one branch can over rule each other. It is called the checks and balances it balances the power between each branch.
In document 1of the U.S. Constitution article 1 it describes a specific power of government like the legislative branch has the power to impeach or remove the president from the office. Like Bill Cilition was imeached but was bot removed from office and Andrew Johnson was impeached but not over thrown out of office. President Nixon was almost impeached. The legislative branch has the power to remove or impeach president that doesn't do there job.
In document of the U.S. Constitution article 2 section2 cause 2 explains that the executive bracntreaties if they need anyhting but it has to be approved the senate. If they don't like it they can reject the treaty and it won't become a bill. In document 3 it shows that the president can veto or reject an that the exectivte checks the legistive can over ride the veto if the majority is 2/3. That's like when bush rejected the law for insurance foe children and the senate allowed it and then it shows that itwas oer ridden. Sothe president rejects the bill and the senate can over ride by a 2/3 majority. In document 4 is a cartoon of the treaty of Versailles in the waste paper basket, because the president wanted it but the senate rejected it. The bill was not passed and the executive bracn nd this is the checks and balances.
Therefore checks and balances help in the U.S. government and its to all the branches of government. It explains that no government will have more power then another. This is so that no one will start problems with the people and that the people will keep their rights and they are protected. Each government helps each other out and rejects or accepts laws.
