During the Constitutional Convention of 1787, a number of compromises were proposed to satisfy the needs of a wide variety of constituents. Large and small states, Federalists and Antifederalists, Slaveholders and abolitionists, - there were a number of different groups who had varying interests and needs for their citizens. Task:
- Chose two compromises made at the Constitutional Convention of 1787.
- Describe the compromises in detail!
- What were the two opposing sides to the debate?
- Explain how was it a compromise
- What components from each opposing argument did it adopt? What components did it modify?
- What makes it a compromise? How does it meet the needs of multiple points of view?
