I believe the rights a citizen of the United States America are not much different then of an illegal person. Everyone no matter if their illegal should have a right in this country. I belive that us like citizen should be able to get thing easier, for example health insurence. Citizen should'nt be dieing becuase lack of money to get medication they should have insurence that can cover if no all then most of the price on medication, surgery and much more. Also us as citizen should have to do whats right be responsible. The reponsibilities we shold have should be take responsiblities for your actions. We should also not abuse the law.

As a citzen of the United States I believe I have many rights. To begin with, I have the right to speek my mind freely. This means I would have to watch what I say becuase others have the right to speak against me. Another right I have is the right to not testify against myself. I believe this is my most important right becuase a lawyer abuses this amendment while his client is in court. There are of course many things I need to abide by. I need to not commit crimes. The bill of rights really outline my basic rights and the responsiblity of having them is that others have them as well. As long as I respect other's rights my rights shall be respected as well.

Being a citizen of the United States in this time period means having alot of rights. For example we have the freedom of speech which back in the old times we couldn't. With freedom of speech you could give opinions or ideas on any concerns you have. But of course this right has a responsibility. For instance you can not change any of the governments decisions or be against it. We also have the right to vote no matter what skin color you are or what country you come from. But you have to be a citizen of the United States in order to vote and have to be 18 years and older. I can fulfill these rights by obeying the responsibilities each right has and not taking advantage of the freedom the United States gives me.

As a citizen of this country I have the right of freedom of speach, living my life, and getting an education. My responsibilities are to obey the laws of the government, listen to my parents, fulfill my dreams or at least try to, try and make a difference in this world for the good.
Everyone in America has rights that is why America is the land of the free. WIth those rights we carry responsibilities... All of us may have different responsibilites but it does not matter. We all have to obey the law or there will be consiquences...The consiqueces varey from bad to worse or in some cases good to better...

I think xiangz901 is wrong...Everyone in AMERICA has rights...It does not matter how young or old you are you are born with rights, responcibilities, and freedom. Yes, of course while you are young your parent(s) or gaurdian(s) make most decisions for you but that doesn't mean you have no freedom, rights, and responcibilities...
Well I guess that's how you feel but that is not what I have learned in my life time...

As I am a U.S. citizen of this country, I have many freedoms and I have rights too. Everybody in the world has the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the freedom of justice. These rights are in the bill of rights and they are very important to the constitution. We also have laws which protects us from being safe and not doing any bad stuff like driving when you're 11 years old. You can get into a car accident and it is not safe for 11 year old kid to drive a car. So, as a citizen of this country I have freedoms and rights.

See you tomorrow Mr.T!! :) :) :)

I'm so glad to see so many people are using this forum. We're actually starting to get some really good discussions going.

What I want to see in future posts is a little more about the responsibilities that come with those rights. Think about school. We've given you a great deal of freedom regarding your behavior. Now, if you abuse those rights, they can be taken away.
