I think that banding cell phones from school is a really bad idea because in case of an immergancy such as a lock down or another 9/11 type of attack we would be able to communicate with our parents to tell them that we are safe. We should be entitled to have cell phones in school as long as they are away and off.

Banning cell phones from school is a good and bad idea. Its a good idea to banning cell phones because kids text each other in class and cause a distraction for there learning experience. Banning cell phones is a bad idea because what happens if there is a emergency and you need to call your parent and after school something happens then what can you do say great I left my phone at home now how do I get in contact with my mom/dad.

Some reasons that might explain why people have been denied to vote are because if certain people were allowed to vote then they would vote for the person that is not for them. For example when African Americans were not allowed to vote it was probably because they would vote for a president that was against slavery and that would have ruined Americas lifestyle back then.
I think that cell phones in schol should not be banned. They should at least be allowed to be in our pockets and off. If we are walking home or taking the bus and somehting was to happen then how would we be able to tell anybody. Also if a family emergency occurs then how are our parents going to get in touch with us.

If there was a type of political drive that could help. Maybe if some voting sessions were held and also a debate. Make the issue heard, have a protest, or someone bring it to whoever is in charge of the whole banning of the cellphones. Bring it to the the attention of the chanselor and the mayor; Mayor Bloomberg.

I think it's pretty stupid for banning cell phones from schools. What happens when a parent or the child has to contact each other in case of an emergency? What happens when the chils is in trouble but does not have a phone to contact his or her parents? Cell phones should be allowed as long as its turned off so it doesnt "disrupt" class time. Without cell phones parents and children have no way of communicating.
