Money has played a big role in 9/11 cleanup victims care. They have not gotton proper care if they do not have health care. Although most of theese people will suffer for the rest of there lives they deserve to get all of the proper treatments. I believe that it is the citys fault for letting theese people go into theese conditions although they were warned. I believe that this is a federal responsibility to provide care at least for the workers forced to clean up ground zero. They should give the volunteers supourt for a certain amount of years.

Who is resposible?
i think that the feds are resposible because they are the ones taking some what care of the nyc fire and police department, so they shou;ld be taking care of them will the treatment. i also think that the volnteers should have been taking care of thems selfs because if they knew that they didnt have health insuance why did they arrive at the scence so my opion is sort of 50/50Ariadne R.902 period 2 social studies
In the hours after the World Trade Center's Twin Towers had fallen thousands of people wither it was office workers, bankers, school teachers military personal or police and emergency response over 10,000 men and women came to the 16 acre site to help with the cleanup and find survivors of the terrorist attack. The government never really took the time to give money to the sick workers of 9/11. They where treated like the vetreans of our wars are treated like dirt. They went into the rubble of the trade center and searched for survivors and helped clean up, they knew that the site could collaspe on them killing them or bury them alive they still went in there and helped. The only ones fault of the illness is the United States Government. They, before sending anyone into the ruins should of taken the time for surveying the air and checking toxicity levels in the dust. The workers are not at fault they where the ones that helped america get threw that day, that week,that month and so on and so forth. The Government and the City of New York should sit down with first responders and ask them what do they seem is fair for them and begin talks. The city of New York and the U.S Government owe it to all the first responders and clean up crew that worked around the clock to help the attack. Health Care for 9/11 workers are a federal problem because it was there job to make sure that people in a sisuation like this one are helped in case something like this happens

based on the article "Illness Persisting in 9/11 Workers, Big Study Finds" i believe that the health care is a federal responsibility because the volunteers who knew that they were risking they're lives for others did this a an act of courage now if no one had gone there at such a tragic moment then there would've been more innocent life's taken. so if these people didn't give it a second thought when they were called to go out and rescue then the federals shouldn't give it a second thought and pay for their health care.money has played a big role in the care of 9/11 because the cleanup victims suffered from asbestos and illnesses that they may not suffer right now but in the future it's a probability that they will.the federal or city has to pay for this or should because at the time half of these people have to be paying their own health insure or health care; so right now it's all about the money. i don't blame anyone for the fault of illness because it's something that could've happened to anyone if they were put in those circumstances. there is only one person who i blame for all of this and that person should be the one taking money out of his pocket and paying for all the damaged he as an individual has caused us as Americans, the one who planned all of this. thew changes of finance that should be made are all very important to help fix this problem up. the government should stop giving or wasting his money on housing were people claim that they don't have enough money to be paying a rent and start giving more money toward those who helped others and didn't dare to look back and question what they were doing.

I honestly can't believe anyone can read this and not wonder if the actual problem is money. New York alone makes millions of dollars a year, and the taxes just keep accumulating! There's no end! If not to help pay for keeping people alive in our own country where does the money go? I'll tell you where. Across seas and into weapons of mass destruction. Why? So America can make even more money on oil that's not on our land. This country certainly does think of progress...for itself...

Money plays a huge role in the lives of the 9/11 victims, because without it, they are unable to care for themselves after 9/11 has had an adverse effect on their health, making them unable to not support their families but unable to pay for treatment. No one is at fault, there can only be praise. The government had no choice but to send those who contribute to the community as heroes to the front lines, and those who went and protected the lives of many should be regarded as such. However, the city does have an obligation to pay for the health care of those who fought with valor in order for the welfare of our citizens. Taxes are wasted on those who cannot support themselves and contribute nothing to the community, so why can we not use the same resources to help those who are actually in need and have actually contributed to society? Health care is federal responsibility, the government must undertake several precautions and measures so that people may not abuse it, and that the people who do need it will get the treatment they deserve.

Money also helped pay for the necessary machines and removal crews to clear the debris. Also the city had to pay to bury the dead for the families who could not pay for caskets.
I believe that the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and the federal government are at fault for people’s illnesses. The EPA said that the air quality was fine and completely lied. The federal government is at fault because a) they are the ones who allowed the terrorists into America. b) They couldn’t stop the plot or attack and c) the attack was towards them, not New York. They weren’t able to even detect it.
I believe that the government needed to start focusing the finance more on getting people respirators and helping the families of the people that died financially. The respirators could have prevented so many of the illnesses and the people who lost family members lost someone who provided money.
The federal government should have paid for the health care issues. The city can help but the federal government was a lot more responsible than the city.
