Reflect on the recent changes to our program, and classes. How do you think these changes will affect the 9th grade students. What's good about them? What are some things you are worried about?

The recent changes in our programs is that every student in our school has different scheduales. This means that we're basiclly all independent and that we no longer have classes like 901, 902 or 903. These changes affect 9th graders because you no longer have the same classes as your friends have so this means that you won't get to see them often. But at the same time this is really good for all students because you get to meet new people and won't get too distracted with friends during classes. This also shows that were alot more older to take responsibilty of our classes to get the credits we need. There sort of treating us as adults going to college or in other words preparing to go to college.
I think that this school is going through a lot of changes right now. I think these changes are good for the 9th grade because we wanted this to happen. We wanted to have rotating classes in order to feel more like High School kids.So for us not to like it is like a slap in the face. I think it will give us more freedom.-Daniel Randell
I think this will be a refreshing change. Though it is kind of sad we left our classes we now get too feel like more of a highschool. The freedom with courses also rejuvinating. We finally feel like we have control over what we do. This is a great feeling. I am worried about the classes. I think that you mixing everyone up is just going too have a one class that does bad in each subject. There will be different classes for each subject and wont even solve anything.
I think that the changes that have been made arent that good. It is go0d that it's sort of like real High School, but were starting a whole new way and our grades from before arent really gonna count so that sucks. In another way is O.K because were with our friends but also were going to talk with them. I dont like the idea that much.

The recent changes of our program, at first, seemed really unfair and dumb. But then i wrote a letter expressing how i felt about and it was changed...i feel like this new schedule that was given to me isn't bad.I get along with my classmates.. What I also like about the new schedule is that it fells more like "highschool material"... meaning that it is starting to become and feel like highschool.Another thing that i like is that this change was made for and because of us..
Thank you for your comments. Understand that there's no "perfect" solution. With every decision, there's good points and bad points. I'm sure there were some people who were perfectly happy with the way things were.
This year is a learning experience for all of us. Students, and teachers. However, it's something that we can use to build our community. I'm excited to see where it goes.
I believe the new schedual will effect the students in 2 very different ways. positively and negatively. postively because it gives the students a real highschool experience. different classes with different people, more courses, independent scheduals. but negatively as well because now that the students have gotten use to the classes, such as 901 902 903. I was use to the students in 902 and I was accustomed to the scedual and courses. but now that we changed the program, I would still like to have certain classes with certain people that were in my 902 class.

I think that the scheduale change had its good and it's bad things. For me it was bad because I have no classes with CIERA or ANGIE and I am use to being with them all the time so I get bored. On the up side I am doing better in my classes and JAY is in two of my classes...lol...But yea it doesnt affect me that much...SEE YA MR T
